Dangerous Ales is an independent, family-run Australian craft brewery based on the NSW South Coast, brewing bold, flavour-driven beers for people who love character in every glass. What started as a passion for great beer has grown into an award-winning craft brewery known for fresh releases, modern styles and seriously drinkable favourites.We keep things hands-on and close to home, from recipe design and brewing through to packaging and customer relationships, so quality and consistency never slip.
We produce small-batch craft beer across a wide range of styles, including hazy IPAs, XPAs, pale ales, lagers, sours and dark beers. Our focus is simple: big flavour, balance and drinkability.Whether it’s a juicy hop bomb, a crisp lager or a seasonal limited release, every Dangerous Ales beer is brewed to be fresh, expressive and fridge-worthy.
Meet our Founder
Dangerous Ales was founded in 2019 by Damien Martin, Damien’s path into brewing began in professional kitchens around the world, including Maze in London and Vasse Felix in Margaret River, where his passion for fermentation and flavour development first took shape. Today, he applies a chef’s mindset to brewing, focused on balance, texture and drinkability and stays closely involved in recipe creation and production to ensure every beer reflects the quality and character at the heart of Dangerous Ales
As a family-run brewery, we’re personally invested in every beer that leaves our tanks. Independence gives us the freedom to experiment, improve and respond quickly and without cutting corners. It also means when you contact Dangerous Ales, you’re talking to real people who are directly involved in the business.Community, hospitality and good times around great beer are at the core of what we do.
